This mod allows you to play rimworld with your friends, which means that you can finally go around and make those lovely human leather hats together with your favorite group of people while at the same time performing the many war crimes of rimworld!
If you are experiencing any issues with the mod please ask for help on our discord server[discord.gg] instead of in the comments here as it will be much easier for us to give you the necessary help there.
- Play with as many players as you want to (We recommend a max of 8)!
- Integrated with the steam api so no portforwarding is needed.
- Includes a auto desync resolver (Arbiter).
- Currently works with 95%+ of all vanilla featues.
- You can have multiple colonies.
- You can connect through either lan, steam, or direct (Requires you to portforward or use a vpn)
- Works with mods. (Not all mods will work in multiplayer. Please read the “Using mods in multiplayer” if you plan on using them)
- API so you can easily add support for the multiplayer mod. You can read more about it here: API documentation.[github.com]
• What should the load order be like?
- The multiplayer mod needs to be loaded right after the core and before mods like HugsLib
Rimworld Mac Os Download
• What ports need to be portforwarded in case i want to use direct?
- 30502 through UDP
• Are mods supported?
- Yes, but not all mods will work without first getting a patch for them.
• What is the arbiter?
- The arbiter is a seperate instance of rimworld running which helps with desync resolving. (You should never disable it to try and fix desync issues since you risk ending up having different events happen and such for each player, because the desync will not be addressed when the arbiter isn’t enabled.)
• Does it work between different operating systems?
- Yes, the mod fully supports cross-os play between windows, mac and linux.
• What does “save replay” do or mean?
- A multiplayer save is called a replay
• Can I change my ingame username?
- Yes, your name can be changed under mod options ingame.
• Why does simulation take so long?
- Simulations take place from the last autosave made so don’t make the gap too big. You can also manually do a autosave with /autosave in chat.
• Can each player have their own seperate faction or colony?
- You can currently not have multiple player factions or completly seperate player colonies. But you can still make multiple colonies that all players can control.
• How do i convert my multiplayer save to a singleplayer save?
- Click on the save you want to convert and click on the “Watch” button. When it’s done loading there will be a “Convert to singleplayer” button present in the ESC menu.
• What happend to Zetrith?
- We don’t know, he disappeared one day and hasn’t come back online since. And that’s why we from the community took over the development of the mod.
When using mods in multiplayer there is a few things that you will need to do.
Rimworld Mac Os X
The first thing is to make sure that all of the mods you are trying to use in multiplayer are marked as compatible with the multiplayer mod or it’s highly likely that you will experience a lot of desync which can be game breaking in some cases.
You also have to order you mods in the same way and have the same mods loaded at all times when trying to play a multiplayer game with them on.
Rimworld For Mac Os Versions
After that is done the host will need to share his config files to make sure that all your configs are excatly the same or you will likely have some desync issues related to that.
